The last few weeks have been pretty good. Ronny had 3 days of inservice this week so we didn't have to get up until 0630. The kids were both up before he left for work and were able to give him hugs and kisses. Dakota Grace has almost completely potty trained herself in 1 week. I am so glad to be changing only one childs diapers. I can not tell you how much more time I have. The house is in better shape and I have been able to cook more. Not just quick items. Since we are pretty much homebodies we still have the hurtle of getting her to use the potty when we go to town and at play but it will come soon I am sure. She still has to learn to pull her clothes up and down, etc. Thank you Lord for elastic waist bands!
Thanksgiving will come and go this year at our house. It is my Mom's birthday so we will probably do a steak dinner with dessert. Ronny has to work the whole week and I can't exactly cook big with 2 kids underfoot. We are planning on having Christmas dinner with Mom, Dad, Uncle Jim and Nona! Ronny has 9 days to take off between now and Dec 31 so we will probably have lot of long weekends in December.
BJ is walking well and I just an absolute mess. He is climbing on everything and getting into everything. It seems to never end. Last night he was climbing on the lip of the refrigerator trying to pull a bowl of mashed potatoes down on top of his head! He also can open the bathroom door all by himself. He scared Ronny to death the other evening. Ronny was getting ready to take a shower and hadn't locked the door since Dakota Grace was in bed. Then BJ walks in...needless to say Ronny has looking for a towel because he thought it was Dakota Grace. Going along with the potty training it is not unusual for Dakota Grace to go to the bathroom door and yell, "Let me in Daddy, Let me in... I have to pee pee." Lets just say you had better get out of her way and she wants you out of the room and the door shut NOW.
