Almost 3

January is flying by and we are in the midst of another change in schedule. (SIGH) After 5 years I have decided that God is not going to bless us with a set schedule so I am really trying to learn to roll with the punches. So far the kids are adjusting and are both napping. Wow! I am cooking for Mom's WMU meeting and getting my kitchen in some much needed order.

Next week Dakota Grace will be 3 years old. It is hard to believe that it has been that long since she was born. I have been having some health issues from her birth but I guess it is all worth it. She is such a sweetheart.

BJ is growing up too quickly. He was turning around in circles this morning after Daddy saved him from his sleep clothes! Evidently he learned how to do that in his sleep.

We are starting to have to make some hard choices. Four years ago when we took steps to better our job situation in hopes that I could begin a career we never dreamed that we would survive so many setbacks and at this point nothing but a miracle from God will make life better. One moment can take 15 years to set right. But you know you can't take your debt, your weary bones or your heartache to heaven so I guess I we will survive. God has really been working on my lately and I have begun to realize that the love of money can work 2 ways. You can overspend and want and want and want but you can also focus to much on being debt free and forget that debt is a part of life. Whether it is financial or otherwise. You will always owe someone money, work, a hug, a good deed. I have known a family yet who follow Dave Ramsey that are happy. It seems like they are always working long hours to pay off debt or to stay debt free but their family and relationships suffer. One day at a time God is working. Just last wednesday the secretary at the church where Dakota goes to mothers day out shared that 5 years ago she was a multi-millionaire and now she is broke. Her partner committed fraud and she lost everything. She pointed out that you can do everything right and still be in a financial mess that is nothing of your own doing. Thank you Mrs Mary...that comment made me feel better.

I am looking forward to this time on 2nd shift. Ronny should be working with 2 captains and the other LT isn't half bad. He should be working less hours and it should be less stressful! The kids will hopefully see a much happier, playful Daddy. This morning you could hear them giggling all over the house.

we do the Dave Ramsey plan and we are happy. you may just have to amend it a little to fit your family. Just let me say being debt free (financially) is worth it! keep it up!
